Grants

all-equipmentStriving for a healthy community is part of the The Big Stone Health Care Foundation’s mission.  The Foundation does award grants to projects or organizations that meet certain criteria.  In the past, we’ve given grants to the Wellness Committee at OAHS as well as providing excercise equipment for a Community Wellness initiative.

“To do more for the world than the world does for you, that is success.”

–Henry Ford

In years past, the Foundation provided funds that allow the Big Stone County Sheriff’s office to reach out to school children and provide them with accurate and vital facts and information so they have the tools to be alert to the dangers in the world.  The Safetypupprogram gives them tangible knowledge to cope if they find themselves in danger.

The Ortonville Ambulance service is also a recipient of grant monies.  We have provided registration for the annual “Long, Hot Summer” EMS training as well as for various conferences and workshops.
