Big Stone Health Care Foundation and #GivingTuesday

Big Stone Health Care Foundation has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. You can make your donation by clicking here. Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

The Big Stone Health Care Foundation is dedicated to raising funds to maintain and expand top quality, local health care services for the people of the Ortonville, MN area.  Through Physician Recruitment, building projects, equipment purchases and educational funding for EMTs, future nurses and physicians and other health care professionals, we have helped create health care options right here.

#GivingTuesday isn’t just about making a financial contribution, but it also encourages volunteerism.  The Foundation relies heavily on volunteers and volunteer committees for our three fundraising events:  the Annual Gala Affair, The Oak Tree Classic golf tournament and its High Fashion for the Foundation fashion showcase.  We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to bring their creativity, talent, manpower, office skills–or any other skills–to bring these events to life an make them successful.

As a non-profit organization in a smaller community, we are so grateful to have donors and volunteers who believe in our mission and who are willing to make an investment in a healthy future!
